This two-year instructional course familiarizes the student with the operation and application of the various resources used in a body shop. Covering a full range of topics, from general shop safety and sheet metal/fiberglass repair, to fixing suspension systems and frame straightening, this broad-based course also introduces students to the financial side of the body shop operations.
Learning through hands-on applictions, students work in a state-of-the-art auto body lab and high-end paint booth, which is regarded as one of the best in Clark County. In these working environments, students work to repair the exterior of automobiles that have been in a collision. Students develop needed skills and work habits as they work side by side with our instructor. The first year of this program provides students with a strong base of knowledge, with second-year instruction focusing more in depth on advanced skills.
Read chapter 20 page 399, Measuring Vehicle Damage and Chapter 21 Straightning Full-Frame and Unibody Vehicles in Collision repair book. Write all tech terms, do all review questions, and do all ASE-style review questionson pages 428, 429, for chapter 20, and page 459 for chapter 21.
